Web OPAC Changes With Latest ResourceMate 4.1.11 Update

Apr. 19, 2021

Improvements in Web OPAC Synchronization

Synchronization is the process that receives the ResourceMate data changes and refreshes the cloud database that is used by Web OPAC.  We have improved this process in the following ways:

  • Faster transfer as the size of the data that is being transferred has been decreased
  • Changed the logic that in the event of lost connection all data will be transferred again so nothing will be omitted
  • Fixed a few bugs that would prevent the cover image and Full Text Search fields from being assigned properly.
  • On occassions the background service that does the syncrhonization would stop and require rebooting of the computer.  This has been addressed.

You will be required to update your ResourceMate program to the latest version that was released April 19, 2021. This includes updating the server version that exists on the ResourceMate database computer.  This may require your IT to assist you with this.

You may have to manually check for updates.  You can do this from the ResourceMate Help menu > Check Internet for Updates.

You can read the full list of new features and improvements with the latest update, as well as download it directly from our website by clicking here.

If you have any concerns, the Web OPAC Initial Data Synchronization process can be rerun on your ResourceMate installation after you have successfully updated to 4.1.11.  This will allow you to be certain that Web OPAC is 100% reflective of your ResourceMate.   If you'd like to run this process again, in your ResourceMate go to the Help menu – Submit a ticket for Support or a Suggestion and indicate that you'd like to run the initialization process again.   A reply to this will be sent to you when you can run this process from your ResourceMate.

If you have any questions please contact our Support Team either by submitting a ticket with the above instructions, or by emailing support@resourcemate.com. We can also be reached by phone at 1-800-815-8370 and select Option 2 for the Support Team.
