Moving ResourceMate from one computer to another
Previous Topic  Next Topic

We recommend that you first install ResourceMate on the new computer.  This will establish the icons, program group and the association of .resourcemate files to the ResourceMate System Updater.

After that simply copy the entire ResourceMate folder (usually c:\Program Files\ResourceMate 3.0) and all folders beneath it, from the old computer onto a cd or usb memory stick and copy it onto the new computer.  Over-write the newly installed files on the new computer.

Note:

If installing onto a Vista computer we recommend that ResourceMate be installed in c:\Users\Public\ResourceMate 3.0

It is best to delete dbconnection.ini in the folder where the resourcemate.exe file is, unless the data is still in the same location as it was on the old computer.  Dbconnection.ini does not get updated once the data location has been initially established.
