The "Held" Filter
The
"Held" Filter is a perfect example of how we listen
to our Users' Suggestions. We were asked to include
this
feature for when users searched in the Main
Screen their items found would be remembered and they
could browse the items without any fear of losing the
search.
With
the addition of the new "Held" Filter in
ResourceMate®,
when you do a Search Specific Items the
items found will be
brought
back into the Main Screen. Now only
the items found will be viewable from this screen.
To know that it has
worked, and to tell you how many items
were
found,
you'll
see
a
screen
like
this:
Notice the
words in red, "*
Filtered (12 items)." This
immediately shows you that the filter worked and that
(in this case) there are 12 items that can be browsed.
Now you can search through only the items that were filtered.
When you use any of the navigation buttons on the Main
Screen you
will
only
navigate through
these
12 items. This speeds up your searches tremendously,
especially when you are searching through similar items,
because you never have to worry about browsing too
far or clicking too many times on a button and accidentally
resetting your search.
When you are
done with the "Held" Filter, and
want to go back to the full collection, you have a
few options:
- Use the Search
All Items button
- Use the Add
a New Item button
- Select a different resource type in the Resource
Type pull-down list.
Using one of these options will reset your search and
return you to browsing your entire collection.
The "Held"
Filter is featured in ResourceMate® Regular
or Plus version 2.0h only. If you are at an earlier
version of ResourceMate®, we recommend you Update.
