Easy Lookup Fields! Just press '?' while cataloguing
Several
data fields in ResourceMate®, such as all three Author
fields, Publisher, Place of Publication, Series and even
Subjects, allow you to easily lookup and choose previous
entries you've made! Just press ? (shift-question-mark).
This
ensures accurate and consistent data entry. The
result? Your library users will be more likely
to find the items you've catalogued, based on their search
criteria because fewer cataloguing errors will have entered
your database.
In
the image below, you can see that fields with a ?
(question mark) up front allow you to look up and choose
previous entries.
In
addition to that you can zero-in quickly to the entries
you're looking for instead of always starting from the
top of the list. For instance entering one or more
letters, followed by shift-question-mark, puts you into
the list right at the entries that start with those letters.

You can enter
one or more letters before pressing ?
to drill down into your list with more precision.
If ResourceMate®
sees only one matching entry with the initial letters
you entered, it doesn't waste your time showing you the
list -- it simply selects and enters that entry in the
field for you.

Regular and our Plus
versions of ResourceMate®.
