Jaywil Software asks customers to supply various personal data when placing an order, such as name and address, credit-card information, and e-mail address. We use this data only for the purpose of filling their order, or for communicating with the customer or supplier about the status of an order. We may use the customer's organization name and city in promotional literature though no personal contact information is disclosed.
Jaywil Software also asks customers to supply various personal data when they are requesting that we keep in touch with them about ResourceMate® Library Software products. We use this data only for the purpose of informing our customers of product announcements.
From time to time we receive requests from prospective purchasers of Jaywil products for references from other existing customers in their geographical or application area. We do not release any information to such requests without permission. Said permission is requested on a case-by-case basis through e-mails or faxes sent out to existing Jaywil customers.
Customers of Jaywil Software have the choice of supplying feedback and information about their use of ResourceMate® and other Jaywil products. This is done through the use of annual "Anniversary Questionnaire" faxes or e-mails. Jaywil Software will only use this information to enhance product quality and to help determine future product direction.
Jaywil Software, at the discretion of the customer, also receives customer data in the form of backup files from the customer's copy of ResourceMate® (for our Offsite Backup Service or for Customer Support cases), or in the form of ISBN lists (for our EntryMate™ Service). We use this data only for the purposes of the services involved. We will store any Amazon images that are found in the Multimedia tab in File, Items.
We treat customer information as private and confidential, and we will not disclose this information, other than those cases mentioned above, to other individuals or organizations unless required by law.
We will not distribute customer information to be used in mailing lists, surveys, or any other purpose other than what is stated above.
Internet Connectivity within ResourceMate®
Only the product serial number (entered by the user) and those fields filled out on the registration form in ResourceMate® are transmitted when the user chooses to register electronically.
Check for updates / Download updates
No information is transmitted to Jaywil Software while checking for updates. When the user decides to download updates to their program, an e-mail is sent to Jaywil Software indicating product serial number and program update performed (exe, help file, etc).

Only the entered text and the attached file (eg. backup file) are transmitted to Jaywil Software.
At no time is any system information of any kind transmitted to Jaywil Software.

The ResourceMate serial number, IP Address and ISBN are recorded in a secure log file on our web server for performance and security purposes.

The patron barcode, username and/or PIN will be transmitted securely to our hosted server. You can choose whether the patron first and last name are also transmitted.
The following data is uploaded to the web OPAC: Circulation History, Field Settings, Fines and Payments, Items, Subjects, Multimedia (optional), Patrons (optional), Reserves
Items that are set to "Cannot be searched" are still uploaded although the web opac setting will determine whether those items can be searched.
We can automatically update your support ends date. As a result of this feature our logs will also store the serial number of people using ResourceMate whose support has expired. It is certainly not illegal to run ResourceMate when support has expired.
