Congratulations on your purchase of the Soundex Add On Module.

To confirm that Soundex is activated, click on Help, About ResourceMate 3.0.  You will see Soundex in the Add On: section.

Soundex gives you an additional check box on the patron search screen.

When this box is checked a phonetic search will be performed.  Spelling will not be as critical.

Note:

The first letter needs to be correct but vowels are ignored when finding matches.

Note:

The "Word starting with" searches will be performed as "Exact word".

If a patron enters

loowis

luis

or

loois

lewis will be found.

Soundex works for all patron searches including title, author, subject and keyword.
