Plus, See/See Also Cards

Use this feature to print see / see also cards.  Even if you don't maintain a card catalog, entries in this file can help patrons find what they are looking for when they search.  If you find that patrons are searching for different subject headings then you have established, create a see/see also entry so their search term finds what they are looking for.

Note:

On the patron search screen, the user will not actually see

Geisel, Theodor

See also

Dr. Seuss

but if they type in Geisel, Theodor patron search will look for Dr. Seuss.

Indicate whether this see/see also entry relates to author, subjects or titles.

Enter the text that patrons are inclined to search for.

Indicate whether this is a see or a see also entry.

Enter the way this author or subject heading has been cataloged in this library.
