How Do I's

File, Items, User Defined

Click on the User Defined Fields tab on the Item Entry screen or Press [Alt]-[U] to move to this screen.

Contact Jaywil Software before using User Defined Fields.  There may be a more appropriate or efficient field where you could store the information.  Any information entered into User Defined Fields can be searched at any point in time using the browser, but will only be reported in the Items With All Information report (Reports menu, Reports Gallery, Items with Call Number (or Items with Location), With All Information.  Many reports can be modified to include User Defined Fields.

User Defined Fields must first be setup by choosing User Defined Field from the Utilities menu.  These fields are for the more experienced ResourceMateŽ user and present many possibilities for more detailed information for items entered.

ResourceMateŽ 3.0 allows you to create an umlimited number of user defined fields.

Note:

In the Regular version, User Defined Fields are shared across all resource types.  The Plus version can have user defined fields set up per resource type.
