How Do I's

File, List Tables

Do not use this feature to clean up your existing lists.  Use the Change Utility.

Use this feature to establish authority lists (standard list entries) which will be available when entering items.  As long as

is checked you will always be able to add to this list in the process of entering items.  Using the Category field as an example, simply enter any new categories as needed as you are entering items.  It is not necessary for you to pre-populate these lists before you can begin to enter items.

Choose the table that you are interested in maintaining

Check this box to only show the entries that you have set as keep regardless of whether they are used or not

By default this option is checked.  When checked you can add new entries to the list (eg. Categories) as you are entering items.  When it is not checked you (or whoever is entering items) will have to choose from the list that you have pre-established in this screen.

Check this column to ensure that an entry stays on the list regardless of whether it has been used or not (eg. a Status of Missing)

This column is available for category and status.  If you purchased the Extended Circulation Module it is also available for Location as well.

Check this column to indicate that items of this status, category or location (if you purchased the Extended Circulation Module) cannot be checked out.

This column is available if you purchased the advanced Patron Search Add On Module.  It is available for Category, Location and Status.  Check this box and any items of this Category, Location of Status will not show up in search results.

Click this button to add new entries directly into the grid.  Clicking

,

typing in the entry and pressing the Down Arrow key is the quickest way to add a number of entries.

Click this button to delete an entry on this list.  If it has been used in the entry of an item, it will re-appear when you next refresh this list.  Use the Change Utility to correct mistakes so they don't re-appear on this list.
