File, Items, New

The Step by Step Item Add takes you step by step through the entry of an item.  Instead of seeing a number of fields on a tabbed screen, you will see a few fields grouped screen by screen.

To begin the Step by Step Item Add, either click on

New, Step by Step Item Add graphic

in the File, Items screen.

You will then see a number of choices

Choose this option to add an item.  It is not a multiple copy and is not similar to another item.

Choose this option to add an item that is a multiple copy of an item already entered.

Choose this option to add an item that is similar to another item.  This will save you re-typing information that is similar.  This is handy when entering the Books on Cassette version of an item that has already been entered as a Book.

Choose this option to enter 2 or more multiple copies of an item that has not been entered yet.

Choose this option to enter 2 or more multiple copies of an item that has already been entered.

Choose this option to enter 2 or more items in the same series that are not similar to an item already entered.

Choose this option to enter 2 or more items in the same series that are similar to an item already entered.

Check this box to see a navigation of all the screens in the step by step item add.

Click this button to go back to the tabbed item entry form instead of continuing screen by screen through the step by step.

Click this button to go to the 2nd last screen of the step by step where you can view and enter information for all fields.
