Utilities, ISBN Retrieval Configuration Overview

Use this screen to configure which libraries are searched and in which order when you click on the "ISBN Retrieval" button in File, Items.
Available Libraries
This section lists the libraries that have been configured at this point. Contact Jaywil Software to have your favorite library found at www.loc.gov/z3950 added to this list.
Search Order
This section lists the libraries you have chosen to search in the order they will be searched. Once the isbn has been found the remaining libraries will not be searched.
To move from one side to the other, double click on the line you would like to move. Double clicking any library in the Search order section will move it over to the Available libraries section.

Choose "Return all records" to display all items found when all chosen libraries are searched.
Choose "Return first record" to only retrieve the first record found. This option is quicker because all libraries will not necessarily need to be searched.
Note:
If you have the Plus version and want to store a picture of the book cover with cataloging data from a source such as the Library of Congress, we recommend the following.
Import from Amazon, then import again from Library of Congress (or your chosen source).
Step by step
Set "Return first record"
Move Amazon to the top of the list on the right side.
Click on Ok
In File, Items, Main click on ISBN Retrieval
Import the Amazon data including the picture
Click on Setup
Move Library of Congress to the top of the list on the right side.
Click on Ok
In File, Items, Main click on ISBN Retrieval
Import the Library of Congress data.
The subjects tab will have the subjects from both the Amazon retrieval and the Library of Congress retrieval. You will need to view subjects and delete any unwanted subjects.
