Utilities, Preferences, Email Settings, SMTP Parameters

SMTP Parameters

Configure the Outgoing SMTP Mail server, Port,  Type, Account, Password and From Address based on information obtained from your systems person or your Internet Service Provider.

Outgoing Mail Server (SMTP) - an ip similar to 999.999.999.999 or a dns similar to mail.yourorg.com

Port - that will depend on your configuration

Type - choose None if an account and password is not needed

Account - account name if necessary

Password - password if necessary

From Address - the e-mail address that will show in the "From:" field of the e-mail

Your mail or network administrator should be familiar with these parameters.
