Utilities, Create Web Search File

Use this option to create the tab delimited ascii file for ResourceMate Web Search.  ResourceMate Web Search is a separate product that is purchased and installed on your web site.

Web Search File

Choose the name and location of the created file that will have to be ftp'd up to the libsearch folder on your web site.

Create Web Search File

Click this button to create the tab delimited ascii file that you will ftp up to the libsearch folder on your web site.

Configure ...

Click here to configure the information that will be included in the ascii file.

Note:

If you have upgraded from ResourceMate 2.0 and were using a separate expweb.exe instead of the Utilities, Create Web Search File option, you can configure your specific requirement here.

Drop down lists

The drop down lists allow you to choose substitute information different than the defaults.

Include All Individual Items

By default, the web search file has one record per multiple copies of items.  If you want to include multiple copies of items on the web search, or want the users to be able to see which items are checked out, check this box and all items will be included regardless of whether they are multiple copies or not.

Item On Loan Prefix

If you have checked "Include All Individual Items" and would like users to see which items are currently checked out, enter text in this boxx such as ** Checked out **.  This information will be included before the title information gicing users the indication that this particular copy is currently checked out.  Including a checked out status means that the web search file should be refreshed whenever items have been checked out or checked in.

Exclude Items that can Not be Searched (Advanced Patron Search Add On Module)

Check this box to exclude items from web search that cannot be searched.

Click this button to go back to create the web search file.
