Utilities, Change Utility

We recommend that you have a recent backup before making any mass changes to your information.

Choose to update the Item or Patron table, then choose the field you would like to change. You can click on All Author fields instead of doing Author1, Author2, etc. separately.

After you have chosen the field to change, press Tab to move to Step 2. When you first enter this field, begin typing the value you want to change. It may be necessary to click on this field before typing.
Note:
One of the choices on the field list is <Empty Value>. Choose this option if you want to change all empty values to a specific value.
You can also click on the

to see a list of existing values. When you have chosen the first value to change, you can either move on the Step 3 or you can press the Tab key or the DownArrow key to add another value to change. By adding multiple values you are correcting a number of mistakes at once. You can also click

to add another value to correct.

Click this button to delete the currently highlighted value from your list of values you want to change.

Click this button to delete all values from the list. In order to enter a value to change, you will have to click on

You can either type in the corrected value or you can click on
![]()
to choose a value already entered.
Note:
One of the choices on the field list is <Empty Value>. Choose this option if you want to blank an incorrect entry that has been made.

Click on Start to apply the changes you have indicated.
Delete an entry
Choose the value you want to delete and in Step 3 choose <Empty Value>. All items with the entered value will be changed to blank.
