Introducing ResourceMate® 2.0g
The following are the new features added to ResourceMate® 2.0g:
- user can enter status or categories that cannot be loaned
- overdue fines now accumulate even after the item has been returned (Plus version)
- inventory reports (Plus version). Can work in conjunction with optional hand-help computer rental from Jaywil Software.
- import and export to MARC (Plus version)
- import from EntryMate(tm) (Plus version)
- clickable thumbnail from MultiMedia tab (Plus version) in search results screens
- new "Extend a return date" screen on the Transactions menus.  This simplifies the process of extending a return date (a.k.a "renewing").
- any browse windows (lists of items, names, resource types, etc) can be maximized to fill the full screen by double clicking on the title bar or by pressing Ctrl-F10
- there is an additional option in Utilities, Choices... which lets you choose whether you want to be asked about including the Jaywil lookup lists whenever you refresh.

Introducing ResourceMate® 2.0f
The following are the new features added to ResourceMate® 2.0f:
- automatically convert data from previous versions of ResourceMate®
- Import From Internet - respects users choice of upper case subjects
- fix damaged files when starting the program
- made changes to the password setup so it doesn't appear that you have a password setup when you don't
- Import From Internet - allow users to choose between call number filled with Dewey or library of congress
- increased length of e-mail field to 50
- library cards - users can add/modify the following fields on the cards:
- number (copy number), publish, pubdate, pubplace, level, pages,
purdate, status, rpvalue, lfiction (fiction or not), ISBN, accdate,
hardsoft, bar, (user defined fields...) uc1, uc2, uc3, uc4, uc5,
un1, un2, un3, un4, un5, ud1, ud2, ud3, ud4, ud5, ul1, ul2, ul3,
ul4, ul5, um1, um2
- choice of where to place "The", "A", "An" is now reflected in reports,
search screen results, cards and labels.
- fixed problem whereby a title like "Elijah, A man like nature" was showing in
body of card as "A man like nature Elijah" because of the comma.
- after an item is found in the loan screen, next active key is Lend an Item
- added clickable buttons (Ctrl-Home, etc) on library card format search results
- Screen tabs in item entry screen are now accessible by hot keys:
- alt-i - loan information screen
- alt-l - library card information screen
- alt-s - subject information screen
- alt-n - notes screen
- alt-u - user defined fields screen
- fixed label reports so accession number has more room to print
- return screens do not have ** so user can type first letter to jump to that spot in the list
- the Items by Series report now only reports items with series information
- reserves - if you loan an item and people are waiting/have it reserved, you are reminded
with a yes no to still loan with the entered return date. When you return an item you get the usual
message with slightly different text related to reserves. If you say Yes to loan it to someone
else, the popup will either say has been waiting or has reserved (depending on the date in
relation to today's date)
- fixed problem with changing resource types blanking out parts of item entry screen
- warning message on start up about over 100 locations will be shut off if user goes into Choices...More and turns off that warning.
- warns user if he or she is trying to enter call numbers in the location or category fields.
- cards and labels can be sorted
- Replacement Value Reports use Windows currency setting
- Jaywil lookup list are excluded from the backup
- user can enter currency symbol into Choices...More for Shelf card info line and for fines
- increased length of shelf card info field to 100
- switches on Print Library Card screen to include printing of accession number and/or Library of Congress number
- fixed splitting of subject number and subject heading during card printing
- Location report now sorts alphanumerically within each location
- On-Loan reports: new master list by title with no division by name
- period removed from the end of date published (when importing from Library of Congress)

Introducing ResourceMate® 2.0e
The following are the new features added to ResourceMate® 2.0e:
- when you have finished previewing a report, you may print it without going back and re-doing the selection process again
- on the Utilities Menu their is an option called "Automatic Refresh Options". If you run this you can setup automatic refresh of the Shelf Card Information, Bibliography Information and Body of Card Information.
- you may now use Ctrl-Home, Ctrl-PgUp, Ctrl-PgDn and Ctrl-End to perform the same navigation as the Top, Previous, Next and Bottom buttons found on the Item, Name and Resource Type Maintenance screens. These keys also work on the security screen (Plus version) and the Search Screen results.
- you may now generate spine labels only (great for videos, cassettes, CD’s, etc)
- the search screen results now include # of pages and Librarian’s notes.
- you may now delete unwanted categories by changing them to an existing category
- you may now delete unwanted status by changing them to an existing status
- you may now delete unwanted locations by changing them to an existing location
- the category field is now 30 characters
- the title is now shown on the top of the loan information, Library Card Information, Subject, Notes and User defined fields screens
- changes to make ResourceMate® Year 2000 ready.
- the category, status and location listing are now multiple column reports
- on reports now tell you the number of records printed
- the accession report now shows call number
- you may now select the item fields you want to enter for the Library Card Information Screen
- re-index now allows you to choose Re-Index, Refresh or Pack instead of automatically doing all three
- you may now choose whether cards will be printed for 2nd author, 3rd author, statement of responsibility, sub-title and series
- "Select Resource Type", "Select Printer Type", "Select Bar Code Type", "Choose Date Format", "Indicate High Resolution", "Choices related to The, A and An", and "Auto Refresh Options" have now been combined into one screen called "Choices ..."
- you can now go into "Auto-Check Cards and Labels to print" on the Utilities menu to set defaults so you don’t have to continually check off the cards and labels to print, as you enter new items.
- the order of the reports menu has changed to make it easier to understand.
- all browses (Search all items, Search Specific Items, etc.) have a nicer look to them. They will also except Enter as well as Esc to return.
- when printing cards or labels on a laser or inkjet printer, you can now enter the number of cards or labels that have already been used on that sheet. You can begin printing part way down the page.
- grade has been added to all of the On Loan reports
- the loan reminder message is now 80 characters long instead of 50
- restore no longer asks you to contact Jaywil Software but gives more explanation under the "Files to Restore" field.
- password entry is easier to understand
- Authors, Publisher, Place of Publication and Subjects can now be picked from a list of those already entered. While in any of these fields, press the ? Or type a few letters and press the ? and a list will appear for you to choose from. We have also included files with Authors, Publishers, Places of Publication and Subject Headings from our accumulated data of approx. 100,000 records.
- Spare reports have been added for each report. You can modify these reports while still keeping the original reports that came with ResourceMate®.

- you may now enter I., II. into subject information to print on cards. Simply enter the roman numeral into the subject field and this information will print on cards and search results without including the order number.
- the Top, Previous, Next and Bottom buttons have been added to the top of the Library Card Information screen.
- you are now asked "Do you want to save changes?" if you have made changes to a name, resource type or security record.
- name reports now include a one line listing instead of a lot of blank space
- replacement value can now be printed on the signout card label and pocket label
- the top 10 items loaned report now allows you to select specific items
- all reports that might be printed and inserted into a binder now have a bigger left margin so the report can be three hole punched
- the library card information screen now has a quit button
- shelf card information also includes difficulty level and bar code number
- the Resource Type entry screen now has a field to enter a general material description. This is used for resources other than books and will be included in the body of the card. An example is [video recording] for videos.
- backups can now be sent to any drive and sub-directory instead of just a: and b:
- print library cards and labels now have a re-print button to avoid confusion related to printing a few labels (first 100) and then resetting the switches on all items that had cards or labels to print
- when returning without the name - the name of the person who borrowed the item is shown after the item has been selected
- the report options screens now ask for substitute title and expand question (if by title or by author)
- added a report on the Search Screen Menu entitled "What’s new in the Library". It reports all the items added in the last 90 days. 90 days can be changed in the "Choices ..." screen found on the Utilities Menu.

2.0e ResourceMate® Plus Features
The MultiMedia tab has been added to the item entry screen. Use this screen to store pictures, sounds, videos, or any other Windows object with the item you have entered. By clicking on the field and choosing Object from the Edit menu, the object will be performed
- bar coding now supports a 2nd bar code format that allows bar codes that are from 1 - 16 digits long instead of the standard 14 digits.
- you may now generate name and address labels
- you may now export ResourceMate® items to a number of common file formats.
- you may now establish a fine per day per resource type
- the loan and return screens will show you all items a person has on loan with any accumulated fines
- on loan reports show fine information
- loan info tab shows last 27 people that have borrowed the item
- an "Items borrowed" button on Name screen shows last 25 items borrowed
- added name statistical reports. These report all items a person has borrowed and totals and overdue report
- added item statistical reports - these include all people who have borrowed a book, monthly summary, monthly summary with Resource Type Totals, monthly summary with Category Totals, monthly summary with Fiction/Non-Fiction Totals, monthly summary with Call number 1 Totals, Resource Type Totals, Resource Type Totals with monthly totals, Category Totals, Category Totals with monthly totals, Fiction/Non-fiction Totals, Fiction/Non-fiction Totals with monthly totals, Call Number 1 Totals, Call Number 1 Totals with monthly totals.
